Uploading Retailer CSVs

Additional Locations and Representatives

Before you upload additional locations or reps you must first manually create the parent company.

Here's an example CSV:

Parent Retailer Name,Location Name,Sales Rep Name,Retailer Code,Address,Phone Number,Access Code,Pricing Structure,Commission Rate
Sample Company,Sample Company - NY,,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP001,02-Printer,15
Sample Company - NY,,Keanu Reeves,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP001,02-Printer,15
Sample Company - NY,,Michael McDonald,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP002,02-Printer,15
Sample Company - NY,,Heather Gorman,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP003,02-Printer,15
Sample Company - NY,,Bill Meuth,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP004,02-Printer,15
Sample Company - NY,,Lary King,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP005,02-Printer,15
Sample Company - NY,,Bob Bastian,sample,"123 Main Street, New York NY 90210",800-555-5555,SAMP006,02-Printer,15

Things to notice:

1. on Line 2 you are creating a new location, the "Parent Retailer Name" is the exact name of the parent company you created manually (or existed previously), and the "Location Name" is the new loaction you are adding.  You should not put a Representative's name on this line because it will be ignored.

2. Line 3+ are adding Representatives for the new "Sample Company - NY" location.  These lines have the new location as the "Parent Retailer Name", and they leave blank the "Location Name" field.

3. If you intend for the new locations/representatives to be "under" a parent retailer but you do not go through the "Verify Parent Retailer" stage of the process, this means something may be wrong with your CSV and you are about to create a new parent retailer.  See #1.
