Coupon Manager
Create a Coupon Published On: 10/17/2008 Coupons allow you to distribute "Coupon Codes" for your customers to use to receive discounts on products on your site. Create a new Coupon using the following steps:
- Click the Coupon Manager button on the right
- Click the Add a Coupon tab at the top of the page
- Enter the name for your coupon. This will be shown on the customer's receipt and in the email alert you receive when a purchase is made using this coupon.
- Enter the begining and ending date for when this coupon can be used.
- Enter the value for the coupon. This can be either a percentage (50 percent off) or a currency value ($10 off).
- Enter the maximum number of redemptions allowed for this coupon (default is 9999).
- Enter the minimum purchase required to receive the the discount.
- Select the category of products that this coupon should be applied to. If no Product Categories are selected, this coupon will be applied to any purchase.
- Enter a description of this product. This description will not appear anywhere on your website by default, and is an optional description for reference only.
- Check the box to activate the coupon or uncheck the box to de-activate the coupon.
- Click the Add Coupon button at the bottom of the page.
The next screen will display a 12 digit code that you can supply to your customers for use on yrou site. They simply enter that code in the coupon code field in your shopping cart to receive the discount you have configured.
To retrieve this code at a later date, simply click the Manage Coupon tab in the same section and then click the "code(s)" link for the coupon.
